4.6 crore books Digitalized

The union government has launched the digital library with 4.6 crore books for the benefit of the students. Since the outbreak of the pandemic if COVID 19, the schools and colleges were shut and the possibility of reopening remains far away with the increasing positive cases.

At this moment, the momentum for online classes has increased. To help the students and to enable home-learning, the union government has planned for such a library. This digital library provides books and study materials that helps all students from kindergarten to law, engineering, and medicine. This is a one-stop store for all the educational needs of the students.

This digital platform has been designed by the Ministry of human resources which provides more than 4 crore study materials and books. This digital library is available in http://ndl.iitkgp.ac.in

"National digital library provides books in vernacular languages. On this digital platform, 4.6 city books have been digitalized and are available for download. Students from various states can read books in their won languages. In this pandemic situation, thousands for books and journals ate available online which is a great platform for the research students," says the students.
