Over exposure to the sun is harmful not only to your skin but your eyes too. Too much exposure to ultraviolet rays can lead to problems such as retinal damage and cataract, among others. Here are a few tips to protect your eyes for this summer.
- Cool your eyes often. Close your eyes and place two slices of cucumber of each of your eyes. Or splash some rose water on them.
- Your sunglasses should ideally cover your entire eye. Choose a pair in which the lens wrap around the frame. This not only reduces the light, it also keeps the dirt and grime out of your eyes.
- Use goggles while swimming. Protect your eyes from the chlorine in the pool water.
