Overnight spike of nearly 250 COVID cases in Chengalpet district now

Chennai’s neighbouring district Chengalpet reported 247 persons with symptoms of Coronavirus infection overnight. This has caught the attention of many now. The total number of persons affected by this infection in Chengalpet district is 10536.
It is well known that the number of persons getting affected by Coronavirus infection has been increasing every day. There are certain districts such as Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Madurai, Tiruvannamalai etc and these have been getting affected more. More number of Covid-19 positive cases have been reported from Vellore district.
To curb the spread of this infection, the district administration has been taking steps now. In the state of TN, as many as4965 fresh Coronavirus positive cases have been reported yesterday. Totally, TN has got 180642 cases till now. Yesterday, Chennai had a caseload of 1130 cases and this took the total to 88,377 cases. There are as many as 14,952 active cases in Chennai.
