The raging coronavirus has been spreading and causing untold hardships upsetting the daily routines and programs in almost all countries throughout the world since March 2020. In India, lockdown impositions throughout the country have been announced in various phases, and presently, the 7th Phase of the lockdown imposition is in progress. Several regulations and relaxations are being announced at the commencement of each phase of the lockdown. As such, all schools and colleges are remaining closed.
With the Public Examinations for the 11th Standard (+1) and the 12th Standard (+2) having been conducted, their problems encountered in conducting the Public Examinations for the 10th Standard. 9.7 Lakhs students (boys& girls) were awaiting participating in this 10th Standard Public Examinations. As the examinations could not be conducted as scheduled in March, it was decided to conduct the same on 1st June. Later, it was decided to conduct the same from 15th to 31st June.
However, petitions were filed in the High Court regarding the conducting of the 10th Standard Public Examinations, and as such, it was ordered that the Public Examinations for 10th Standard need not be conducted in the prevailing emergency situation with the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic continuing unabated.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy made an announcement canceling the 10th Standers Public Examinations. As such, the Chief Minister announced that all the students of the 10th Standard will be deemed as passed!
Further, the final marks fort the unconducted Public Examinations will be computed on the basis of the marks obtained by the 10th Standard students in their quarterly and half-yearly examinations.
In this scenario, the latest information is gathered that the results of the 10th Standard Examinations are likely to be announced by the end of this week! However, no official dates have been announced regarding this.
