More rounds of counselling - Online verification of the certificates for eng admissions

For the sake of safety of the students in view of Covid-19 infection, online verification of the certificates is being carried out now for the engineering admissions in TN. This is the first time ever this has been done online in TN.
It must not be forgotten that till now the students would have to go to the facilitation centres compulsorily for the verification of their certificates. As many as114206 students have uploaded their certificates. This was as per a senior officer belonging to the Directorate of Technical Education or DoTE that is conducting engineering admissions in TN. Total number of candidates who have enrolled online is 160834.
The senior officer then spoke about how so far the students have to visit facilitation centres for their verification of their certificates and how now due to Coronavirus pandemic online checking of the certificates was used. The students have been asked not to go to the facilitation centres now.
He mentioned that the respective centre would contact the students on their registered mobile number and through emails in case any clarification was needed on the uploaded certificates.
It is now brought out that the officials deputed to more than 50 facilitation centres set up in TN would prepare detailed data about the online certification and the rank list would be announced. There would be compilation of the data and the rank list would be released n 7th September.
Important information is beginning from 17th September there will be a multi-round counselling process for the students. Depending on the Coronavirus pandemic situation, the total number of rounds would be decided and all the standard operating procedures would be followed.
Point is normally there would be 4 or 5rounds of counselling but this time around due to Covid-19 pandemic and for social distancing sake more rounds of counselling would be organised.
