As there were harmful side-effects detected during the 3rd Stage of Testing of the coronavirus vaccine developed jointly by Oxford University was stopped temporarily.

The testing has resumed now! A notification released by the company Astra Zeneca on Saturday, 12th September, which has jointly developed this anti-coronavirus vaccine jointly with the Oxford University, it is mentioned:

“Further testing activities have resumed in Britain for the Astra Zeneca-Oxford University joint effort, named ‘AZT122’. The decision to resume testing was taken after the British Medical Health Regulatory Council had assured that it is indeed safe to continue testing this vaccine.”

Earlier, when the Astra Zeneca-Oxford University developed vaccine was being tested on the 3rd Phase, a self-volunteer in Britain who came forward and was administered this vaccine had unexpected health complaint.

It was concluded that this setback in heath was due to the administration of the vaccine. Subsequently, a decision was taken to stop the testing of the vaccine last Wednesday!

Among the various endeavours in several countries a over the world, the Oxford University-Astra Zeneca efforts gave the maximum confidence in positive results.

Having come out of the first 2 Phases of Testing with great success, this confidence in the vaccine shot up further. However, the above setback caused worries among experts.

However, Oxford University had announced earlier itself that due to the face that a very large number self-volunteers would be administered with the trial vaccine during the 3rd Phase, it is very very likely that 1 or 2 or maybe a few patients may suffer from harmful side-effects!

As such, Oxford University has declared that only a thorough review and research of this setback, a decision further can be taken.

In the above scenario, the testing of the eagerly-expected Oxford University-Astra Zeneca joint effort vaccine has been resumed!
