The National Examinations Council has announced that the National Eligibility Test (NET) – for the recruitment vacant posts of Assistant Professors – is postponed and now scheduled to be conducted from 19th November.
Entrance Examinations for various avenues including the pursuit of higher education is being conducted every year. National Eligibility Test (NET), a pass in which is mandatory for the recruitment for the vacant posts of Assistant Professors are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice every year in June end and October end.
Meanwhile, in the prevailing situation of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, a lockdown was imposed throughout the country as a preventive measure. Subsequently, al academic institutions, including all schools and colleges were closed. As such, the NET was also postponed and it was announced to be conducted on 24th September. However, as the spread of the raging coronavirus continued, NET was once again postponed.
Now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that NET is scheduled to be conducted on 19th November.
In a notification released by the National Testing Agency, it is mentioned that as per the recommendations made by the Central Ministry of Education, NET was getting postponed. Now, NET is scheduled to be conducted on 19th November. An announcement will be released shortly regarding the timetable for NET and the downloading of Hall-tickets NET.
