The Minister for School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, K. A. Sengottaiyan has informed that a decision on reopening the schools will be taken only after collecting the opinions/suggestions from the students, their parents and the academicians and reviewing them!
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Accordingly, the State Minister for School Education, Sengottaiyan has been allotted the Kanchipuram district to undertake/review the rescue activities.
Subsequently, the minister Sengottaiyan had undertaken a trip to review the situation in the flood-affected areas after the cyclones Nivar and Burevi in the Kanchipuram District. He visited the areas including Vadamangalam where he saw the various crops and banana trees submerged in water. He enquired on the details of the damage caused by the cyclones from the people in these regions.
Subsequently, the minister had a session with the press reporters. The press reporters raised the question regarding the reopening of schools. The minister replied that a decision on the issue of reopening schools will be taken only after a detailed review of the suggestions/opinions from the various related sectors – the students/parents/academicians!
