The State Minister for School Education of the Tamil Nadu Government, K. A. Sengottaiyan has informed that if they prefer, private schools may conduct half-yearly examinations online.

The Minister had a session with the press reporters. He shared: “The private schools may conduct the half-yearly examinations online if they prefer the same. There are no objections to this from the State Government! However, the State Government has postponed the half-yearly examinations in al the government and government-aided schools.

As the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been functioning properly, there is no necessity for releasing any ‘White Paper’ report about the Department of Education! Apart from the 50% reduction in the lessons for all subjects, questions will be asked only from the lessons conducted in online classes .”

“The present situation is so severe that there are no prospects for reopening the schools at least for the students who would be writing the Public Examinations! Even if the government plans to reopen, there are objections from the parents of the students! As such, the reopening has got postponed successively! As such, conducting classes or organising examinations are all done online only! In this situation, private schools, if they prefer, may conduct the half-yearly examinations!”
