The Endowment Board of the Shirdi |Sai Baba Temple has announced that advance registration is mandatory for the devotees planning a visit to the temple.
The globally popular Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Temple is located in the Ahmadnagar district in the state of Maharashtra. . The temple had been closed for the devotees’ visits after the break of the raging coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown as a preventive measure – however, the state government of Maharashtra, announcing various relaxations with each subsequent phase of lockdown permitted the reopening of the famous Shirdi Sai Baba Tempe last month. The temple reopened after a gap of 8 months.
In this scenario, there is a remarkable trend of incase in the numb3er of devotees visiting this temple. So, the temple administration – The Religious Endowment Board f the temple has appealed to the devotees to make advance reservation for their visit.
In this regard, one of the employees of the Religious Endowment Board shared:
“During the initial phase after reopening of the temple, around 6000 devotees have been visiting daily. Presently, this has increased substantially to 15000 devotees per day! This is further increased on festival holidays, on Thursdays, and during weekends! We can allow only a maximum of 12000 devotees every day while strictly following the guidelines on the prevention of the coronavirus spread/infection.
So, it is being mandatory for the devotees to reserve in advance and then visit the temple. The devotees can obtain the pass for the Darshan of Sri Sai Baba online. Also, keeping in mind the important need for prevention of the raging coronavirus spread, children under the age of 10 years and he senior citizens above the age of 65 years must avoid visiting the temple!”
