Information about the dates for board examinations for classes 10, 11 and 12 in TN

The board examinations would be there for sure for the school higher class students in Tamil Nadu!!

On Monday, the school education minister Mr. K.A. Sengottaiyan confirmed that board examinations for the students in TN belonging to the classes 10, 11 and 12 would be conducted for the academic year and the dates would be announced later. He had ruled out declaring 2020-21 a zero academic year due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Zero Academic year:

It is important to note that zero academic year is a year where no academic activities are conducted including examinations and classes. There were some reports earlier that had mentioned that the TN government would be announcing this academic year as the zero academic year.

The TN government would be releasing the schedule for the board exams soon and this was according to the minister.

Recently, the Union education minister, Mr. Ramesh Pokriyal grabbed eyeballs when he mentioned that the schedule for the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 would be announced on 31st December 2020. Depending on the CBSE dates, the TN government would decide on the board examination schedule. Truth is that the NEET 2021 and JEE 2021 dates would be decided based on these dates.

Shutting down schools after reopening:
The school education minister later threw light on how certain states in India have closed down the schools after reopening because of the increase in the Coronavirus infections. In TN, the government would take a decision about the reopening of the schools by taking into account these aspects.
