Residents unhappy due to the stoppage of the renovation works at the corporation park in Ashok Nagar

The corporation playground in Ashok Nagar in Chennai was dug up more than 5 months back for the sake of renovation works and it was left midway with rubble all around. This was brought out by some residents. This park is located in the heart of the residential area of Ashok Nagar that is 6th Avenue.
A resident expressed her thoughts about the incomplete renovation work at this park and said that the renovation process was left midway. She threw light on how whenever there was wind the dust blew over the entire area and that would make the opening of windows difficult.
It was mentioned by another resident that the construction waste was dumped at the entrance of this park and how it takes up a lot of space on the road. He wanted the authorities to clear the debris so that the vehicles could be parked there. The park has become unsafe for the residents as many even drink in the park and dump the liquor bottles there. Many reminders have been sent to the authorities by the residents to speed up the renovation works. This park used to provide some relaxation to the public during stressful times and the residents are now forced to use another park that is 2km away.
