TN Health Secretary - Coronavirus Vaccination trial in all districts on 8th!

The Secretary of the Department of Health of the State Government of Tami Nadu, Radhakrishnan  has informed that the trials of the administration of the coronavirus vaccine is scheduled to be undertaken in all the districts on 8th January.

The Heath Secretary had undertaken a visit today (Wednesday, 6th January)to the National Medicine Godown in Chennai Metro City for checking the arrangements made in this regard.

After the above visit, the Heath Secretary |Radhakrishnan had a session with the press reporters. He shared:

“Trials of the administration of the coronavirus vaccine are being scheduled in all districts on 8th January. The vaccines are to be stored in 4 locations including Chennai. Arrangements have been set up in all districts for the trial administration of the coronavirus vaccine.

There is a facility to keep 2 crores vaccines stored in the National Medicine Godown in Chennai Metro City and other paces. The State Government of Tamil Nadu is all prepared and set to undertake the trial administration of the coronavirus vaccines a day after receipt of the vaccines from the central government!

Arrangements are being made for 100 citizens to be administered coronavirus vaccination in a single day. Note that this coronavirus vaccination will be administered only to the citizens above 18 years of age.

The vaccination will be administered to the health workers first, then all the field workers/staff, and then to the senior citizens.

51 large storage godowns are being set up throughout the state for storing the received vaccines.”
