Corona vaccination: Things to do and not to do

Corona vaccination is being administered throughout the country from today (Saturday, 16th January)|Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the administration of the Covaccine and Covishied vaccines from today through video-conference. Subsequently, in the 1st Phase, 3 Crores field-workers on the coronavirus prevention front will be administered with the corona vaccine. In the next Phase, citizens above 50 years of age will be vaccinated.

In Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy will inaugurate the corona vaccination schedule at Madurai today (Saturday, 16th January) with 160 centres scheduled to function from today with 19073 citizens to be vaccinated.

In this status, it is worthwhile to take note of things to do and things NOT to do after the coronavirus vaccination

  • Pregnant women and persons below 18 years of age MUST AVOID vaccination.
  • ONCE VACCINATED, 14 DAYS GAP IS MUST BEFORE GETTING OTHER VACCINATIONS
  • Citizens who had been infected can get vaccinated.
  • In case of having minor problems like cold or cough on the day of vaccination, it is better to POSTPONE!
  • Slight pain and/or swelling may occur after vaccination.
  • Note that after the 1st vaccination, same vaccine MUST BE USED for the 2nd vaccination!
  • Vaccinated citizens MUST AVOID TAKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR 28 DAYS AFTER VACCINATION.
