The days are hotter and the nights are cooler now in Chennai. This has been due to the easterly winds that extended the NE monsoon season to the first half of January.
The residents belonging to Chennai would have felt this January much warmer than in the previous years. In the coming days, Chennai is likely to have a slow increase in the temperatures and this was as per the forecast by some IMD officials. The weather bloggers were of the view that Chennai city and some parts of TN might experience some rains in February which would be very rare.
