Ban on international fight services in India extended till 28th February!

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that the ban imposed on all international passenger flight services is being extended until 28th February.

In a notification released by DGCA in this regard mentions:

“All international passengers’ flight services are remaining banned due to the impact of the raging coronavirus pandemic. This ban is extended until 28th February. Permission may be granted for some specific fights depending n the situation. However, this ban does not apply to international freight carrying fight services. They would operate as usual.”

The international passenger flight services were banned in India from 23rd March last year.  |However, under the Vande Bharath Scheme, certain special flights were allowed to operate from May for the stranded |Indians abroad. Apart from this, as per the agreement signed by India with 24 countries including the USA, UAE, and France, certain international passenger fight services to these countries are being operated under certain restrictions.
