Information gathered is that the portal is no longer open for registering names of the healthcare workers. The names of the front line works could be uploaded till 7th of February.
It is now very clear that if the clinical establishments have not handed over the names of all their staff to the local health authorities then they no longer be in the priority list. It is learnt that now TN is sourcing names of the employees in home, local administration and revenue department in TN. Dr .Vinay Kumar later highlighted that a day before the schedule all the beneficiaries would receive a message on the venue and time for vaccination. He concluded that if the people walk into the centres even before getting the messages on their mobile phones they would still be given vaccination as long as their names were on the portal.
The recipient tally in TN moved to 130943 on Wednesday and of these 2213 people were frontline workers who began taking vaccine shots from Tuesday.
