A sudden increase in LPG cooking gas cylinder price by Rs. 25/- to be Rs. 735/-!

There is a prevailing system of price change in the LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder to be announced on the 1st day of each month.
This month (February), however, no announcement was made n 1st February! Instead, there was a sudden announcement yesterday (Thursday, 4th February) that the price of the PG cooking gas cylinder is u7p by Rs. 25/-,
As such, the price of the domestic LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder has been fixed at Rs. 735 in the Chennai Metro City and at Rs. 753 in Salem.
The Federation of the Oil Corporations fixes the price of the domestic LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder each month based n the International crude oil price, import expenses, and the exchange rate of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollars.
When the international crude oil prices came down during the raging coronavirus pandemic period, the above federation reduced the price of the LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder. However, during the last June/July (2020), this price went up again as the international crude oil prices went up!.
During August, September, October, and November, there was no change in the price of the 14.2 Kg Domestic LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder.
However, the price was increased by Rs. 50/- each on 1st December and 15th December for a total increase of Rs. 100/- for the domestic 14.2 kg LPG cooking gas cylinder.
There were no changes in the price during the last month of January.
In this scenario, the price of the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder for February was fixed on 1st February. The price of the 19 kg commercial cooking gas cylinder price was up by Rs. 191/-. As such, the price in Delhi for these cylinders was Rs. 1598.50 and in Mumbai, it was Rs. 1482.50. In Chennai Metro City, it was Rs. 1649/- and in Salem, it was Rs. 1610/-,
Given the above situation, there was an announcement by the Federation of the Oil Corporations yesterday (Thursday, 4th February) that the non-subsidised price of the domestic 14.2 kg LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder was up by Rs. 25/-! This new price was effective from yesterday. As such, the 14.2 kg LPG cooking gas cylinder is up by Rs. 25/- in Chennai and now sold at Rs. 735 from the previous Rs. 710/-! In Salem, it is up to Rs. 753/- from Rs. 728/-! In Delhi & Mumbai, the price is up to Rs. 719/- and in Kolkata, it is up at Rs. 745.50.
Naturally, the citizens in the country are to put up with this hardship with extreme disappointment!
