With all the academic institutions including all schools having remained closed for over 11 months due to the prevailing lockdown conditions as a preventive measure taken by the central & state government, the schools for specific classes and the other academic institutions are being reopened gradually since last December 2020.
In the beginning stages of the raging coronavirus pandemic, when the impact was extremely severe, the schools were closed to minimize the spread. Presently, the impact/extent of infection of the coronavirus pandemic has come down quite substantially in the recent times – especially, the last few months!
As such, the classes were reopened for the 10th & 12th Standard students during December. Subsequently, the schools were reopened for the 9th & 11th Standard students from 8th January 2021.
Information is gathered that the schools may reopen shortly for the students of the 6th, 7trh, & 8th Standards.
In this scenario, the Central department of education has informed that the classes may be reopened for the students of the 9th & 11th standards from 1st April.
Further, CBSE, with approval from the state governments, has given approval for earlier reopening of the schools for the next academic year.
