By end of February, Kilambakkam bus terminus in Chennai to be inaugurated

Kilambakkam located near Vandalur in southern Chennai is now making news!!
The superb piece of information that has come out now is that the new MTC bus terminus at Kilambakkam would be inaugurated by the end of this month of February. The construction work on this bus terminus at Kilambakkam has almost been completed and is ready for inauguration. This was according to some sources belonging to housing and urban development department sources.
It is worthy to note that the MTC bus terminus here has 11 platforms that have been built on a massive area of 36200 square feet executed by CMDA. On Friday, the deputy CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. O. Paneerselvam made his presence felt at this new bus terminus and inspected it. At that time, there were also some officials belonging to the housing and urban development department and CMDA.
It is learnt that the new bus terminus would reduce the traffic congestion due to the buses at the key junction on the GST Road. Hereafter, all the MTC buses would stop at this new bus terminus and not on the roads. The new bus terminus would provide an easy transport option for the passengers who board and alight from long distance buses on the GST Road.
