The people belonging to Tamil Nadu have been finding it difficult while searching and downloading the various apps of the departments of the Tamil Nadu government for utilities etc. This issue would not be there in future.
The news that has come out now is one official app would act as an anodal window of all apps of various state agencies and departments. All-in-one app is being designed now by the state government and the users would be able to log in and browse the apps of multiple departments.
By this, the time taken to search authentic app of the various departments of the Tamil Nadu government would be reduced. There are various departments of Tamil Nadu government that are most sought after and these are agricultural department, police and eSevai etc. It is now said that the nodal app would be integrating 5 key agencies and these above said departments. This would get ready in another 4 months of time and this was brought out by some sources.
It is known that the agriculture department and police department have their own apps whereas eSevai does not have its own app. Information collected is that the work has been started to develop a uniform app. For the first time ever, the government of Tamil Nadu is engaged in creating a uniform app for the public. An official pointed out that the main objective behind developing all-in-one apps was to make sure that the public gets access to the apps for utilities and services under a single platform. It must be noted that similar apps with identical features were available online already initiated by the private firms. Point is that now an app of an agency or department needs to be downloaded independently inspite of the users not using the services frequently. After completing a specific task, the apps that were downloaded get deleted by the users now.
