Mambalam station comes under CCTV surveillance

The Mambalam Railway Station will get sixteen CCTV cameras on its campus on Thursday. The Station is one of the city’s busiest with an average of 5 lakh commuters passing through it every day. The station is located between T. Nagar’s Ranganathan Street and West Mambalam.
‘This extra set of eyes would help protect shoppers, who come to the city’s commercial hub with fat wallets, from pickpockets. The Mambalam railway station has been brought under CCTV cover as umpteen number of people drop in for shopping. It would help secure visitors’ valuables from miscreants’, said S.R. Gandhi, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner.
