People in the age group 18 to 45 now form the 50% COVID cases - Infection rate increases in Chennai

The news that has come out now is that in the state of TN fifty percent of the Covid-19 cases belonged to those in the age group 18 to 45. It is shocking but true that 8% of those who were found to be Covid-19 positive were below the age of 18. Following the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Chennai and in TN now, the health department has been busy in analysing over 600 at risk areas for the infection.
The infection rate in the city of Chennai has gone up to 4.5% from 3%. This was highlighted by the health secretary Mr. J. Radhakrishnan. He hinted about various special arrangements that have been made at the government hospitals for the patients.
On Wednesday, he was busy inspecting King Institute in Guindy in Chennai and then spoke about the current infection rate that stands at 4.5%. He added that around 50% Covid-19 cases in TN belonged to those in the age group 18 to 45 and about 8% of those below 18 have tested positive for this infection.
