The regional meteorological centre or RMC on Monday had issued heat wave warnings to the interior districts belonging to the Tamil Nadu. In the next 24 hours, the interior districts could have high temperatures. There would not be thunder showers in the coastal districts. This has been mentioned by the weather bloggers.
The RMC has stated that people who are exposing themselves to direct sunlight might get affected by sunstroke, dehydration, high body temperatures, throbbing, dizziness, weakness, nausea etc. Point is that the general public and farmers must not expose themselves to direct sunlight from noon to 4pm. The districts of Trichy, Madurai, Karur and Dindigul would experience heat wave conditions.
In the districts like Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem Namakkal, Erode, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Madurai, Karur and Trichy, the temperatures would be 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above the normal temperature. Point is that there would be cooler temperatures in the coastal districts of TN and the humidity would continue to come in the way.
It is revealed that due to 60 to 80% relative humidity, the coastal districts would have hot and sweaty mornings and afternoons. North coastal districts would not get thunder showers. Mr. Pradeep John, weather blogger explained about how there would be clouds in the coastal areas and as the land heats up faster the pressure drops inland and convergence shifts there. He concluded that only if the land starts to cool down and thunderstorms sustain, the convergence would move to the coast from the interiors in the late nights.
