GCC Commissioner: permission to start private corona care centres!

The Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), G. Prakash has informed that permission has been granted for the private sector to set up and operate Corona Care Centres!
GCC Commissioner explained that as the extent of spread/impact of the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic has been quite fast and wide throughout the country, especially in the State of Tamil Nadu and the Chennai Metro City, a decision has been taken to permit the private sector hospital and hotel sectors to set up and operate Corona Care Centres!
It has been informed that the private organisations in hospitals and hospitality centres interested in setting up and operating Corona Care Centres van approach the Metro City Welfare/Development Officer at the Headquarters (Ripon Buildings) with the full details of the bed faculties, doctors, and the medical staff - telephone number - (94450 26050).
Presently, 12 Corona Care Centres are functioning under the GCC in the Chennai Metro City.
Further, it is worth noting that only 12000 beds are available for Corona Care in the Chennai Metro City at present!
