100% lockdown conditions are imposed by the State Government of Tamil Nadu from today (Monday, 10th May) throughout the state! The State Government of Tamil Nadu has appealed to the public NOT TO VENTURE OUT OF THEIR RESIDENCES UNLESS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL!
The raging resurgent coronavirus has been rampant- spreading fast and wide throughout the country - in most states of the country right from March! As such, taking note of the increasing trend of the resurgent corona spread, various regulations have been imposed.
In this scenario, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin conducted a meeting with all the collectors of districts and health experts on Friday (7th May). After this, the Chief Minister announced total lockdown imposition from 10th May (Monday, today) until 24th May. The regulations have been clearly defined.
Amma canteens will continue to function.
Road platform shops selling vegetables and flowers can be open until 12.00 noon.
Fair Price Shops will be open from 8.00 AM until 12,00 Noon.
Only up to 50 members can participate in events such as marriage and related and only 20 participants will be allowed in death-related funerals, final rites, etc.
Banks, ATMs, bank-related transport, and Insurance-service related organisations can operate with 50% staff!
At the same time, as per the guidelines given for corona management, the public must observe wearing face masks, observing social distancing, frequently washing hands with soap or sanitisers, avoiding crowds, etc.!
The Chief Minister has appealed: “If symptoms are detected for infection, the public must immediately visit the nearest hospital and get medical consultation and treatment. THE PUBLIC MUST EXTEND WHOLE-HEARTED COOPERATION TO THE PREVENTION EFFORTS!”
