In Egmore in Chennai is located the famous police hospital and this is making news now.
This Egmore police hospital has been converted into a special ward to treat Covid-19 police personnel. This hospital has got complete healthcare facilities is well known. It is worthy to note that Egmore police hospital is under the control of Greater Chennai City police. The laboratory in the hospital has got enough facilities and it can conduct various tests, X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound etc. There is also a pharmacy present in the hospital.
There are many police personnel who have been affected with moderate Covid-19 infection. To treat these police personnel, the Egmore police hospital has been converted to a special Covid-19 ward now. As many as75 beds have been set up to treat Covid 19 infected police personnel.
Police commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal has mentioned that the police personnel, ministerial staff working with city police and their families could get treatment at this hospital.
