Now that going to the cinema is going to be a cautious thing, we can still be cheerful to see a few movies that will release straight into our living rooms.

Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram directed by Karthik Subbaraj is one of the eagerly awaited movies. It is releasing on 18th June 2021 on Netflix.  The trailer has been receiving some rave reviews and looks like the movie is a gangster flick. Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta was also a gangster flick starring Superstar Rajinikanth.

An interesting project called Navarasa which is an anthology of stories produced by Mani Rathnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan will be released on Netflix. The income generated from this movie will be used to support the supporting staff and technicians of the Tamil film industry who have been hit by the Covid pandemic. Navarasa will have 9 stories that will be directed by 9 of the finest directors of the industry starring a stellar cast like Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Siddarth, Prakash Raj, Revathi, etc among others.

Next up, is Mirchi Shiva’s Sumo. Been waiting to be released in theatres, the movie might finally see the light thanks to OTT. The movie is most likely to be released on Amazon Prime. Also starring Priya Anand, VTV Ganesh among others, the movie seems to be a laugh riot! Sumo is directed by S.P.Hosimin who’s last release was Aayiram Vilaku starring Sathyaraj and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in 2011.

There are reports that Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru director Karthick Narean’s Nagasooran will also release on OTT. Starring Arvind Swamy, Sundeep Kishan, Shriya Saran in important roles, the movie is most likely to be released on Sony Liv in June.
