The raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic has created havoc in the State of Tamil Nadu!
As such, the State Government of Tamil Nadu imposed lockdown with relaxations from 10th May as a preventive measure against the spread of corona. However, the lockdown was not effective in restoring the spread and the State Government was constrained to impose strict lockdown imposition in the subsequent weeks!
As such, the spread has reduced and has been checked over the last 1 week and seems to be under control. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin informed the public that the situation has come under control due to the 100% lockdown imposition and it would be extended depending on the situation.
With the prevailing lockdown scheduled to conclude on 7th June, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin conducted a thorough review meeting regarding the situation with the senior officials yesterday (Friday, 4th June). During this review meeting, the senior officials recommended that certain relaxations can be announced in the areas where the situation is much improved and under check.
In the above scenario, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced the extension of the prevailing lockdown imposition with some more relaxations until 14th June!
Lockdown with restrictions has been extended in 11 districts including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiri, Erode, and Salem.
