The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, or Aavin, has reported a hundred percent and more rise in sales this summer.

Just recently, the company had introduced chocolates and new flavours of milk shakes.  According to reports, sale of ice creams was 1200 litres a day, up from 680 litres a day. 4100 litres of buttermilk were sold per day as compared to 1400 litres a day. According to a source, sales of Rs. 1.50 crores were made in the months of April, May and June each.

‘(I am) satisfied with the quality of milk supplied. We purchase two litres of milk and when April came we thought the milk would curdle as it normally does. But it did not. Leakages have also become less’, said a Choolaimedu resident.
