Priorities must change once a male reaches the age of 50 and at that age he must take care of his health and work on keeping the body healthy.
It is worthy to note that the majority of males around the age of 50 would have atleast single chronic health issues in them. Sometimes, a male could have more than one health issue also. There is still enough time at the disposal of men and he could set things right for a healthier life.
Many men feel that their brain works faster and better when they are in their 50s than when they were in their 25s. It is good for the males nearing 50 to follow a Mediterranean diet consisting of whole grains, fruits, vegetables etc. There are ways to make lifestyle changes in males and by that age related health issues could be avoided and longevity could get better. Men as they age must do exercise daily to keep them in good shape.
There are few ways by which exercises can make men live longer.
By controlling blood sugar levels:
It must be noted that the reserved sugar that is stored in muscles and in the liver is drawn by exercises. The body takes sugar from blood as it rebuilds these stores. Truth is that more intense exercises would increase blood sugar levels.
By making heart healthier:
Exercising regularly could make the heart healthier. It is worthy to note that obesity could lead to several issues that finally plague the heart. Heart health gets affected by the sedentary lifestyle. Truth is that BP harms arteries and heart valves etc. By doing exercises, these issues would be reduced. It is advised to start exercising for 10 minutes in the beginning and then ramp up.
By keeping brain sharp:
The chances of strokes affecting a person would be nil if he does exercises regularly. This would be possible due to unhindered blood circulation inside the body without the accumulation of excess cholesterol. Old age issues like Alzheimer’s disease, dementia etc could be kept at bay by exercising.
By lowering the risk of getting cancers:
It has been revealed that by doing exercises regularly men could avoid various types of cancers in them. By this, men would be able to live longer.
By reducing the loss of bone mass:
It is true that men who are involved in physical activities like exercises etc are less likely to lose bone mass. Osteoporosis etc is avoided in the later stages.
