The Registrar (in-charge) of Chennai University has released a notification:
“Facilitating the economically backward students to pursue further studies free of cost, Chennai University has implemented and executing the scheme ‘Chennai University Free Education Scheme’ from 2010.
Under this ‘Chennai University Free Education Scheme’, applications are invited for admission in the current academic year 2021-22 in the government and government-aided colleges.
The applicants must have passed+2 this year. The family annual income MUST BE UNDER Rs. 3 Lakhs.
Priority will be given in this scheme for the economically backward students, destitute students (students with no support of parents or guardians) and the students who pursue graduation course for the 1st time in their generation.
To join the free graduation course, the eligible and interested students MUST UPLOAD online THE APPLICATION FOR THE FREE EDUCATION SCHEME, THE REQUISITE CERTIFICATES/DOCUMENTS ASKED FOR ON THE OFFICIAL Chennai University website – www. nom.ac, in – within 15 days after the release of the +@ Examination results.
The applications and other required information can be accessed from the official website of Chennai University from today (Monday, 28th June)."
