ALL BANK BRANCHES TO FUNCTION WITH 100% STAFF WITH NORMAL OPERATION FROM TODAY (28TH JUNE)!

With the recent relaxations announced by the State Government of Tamil Nadu for 27 districts in the State including Chennai district, it has been announced that all the bank branches will function normally with 100% staff from today (Monday, 28th June).
In a notification released in this regard by the Tamil Nadu State Bankers Association, it is mentioned:
“The prevailing lockdown conditions in the State of Tamil Nadu has been extended with some more relaxations until 5th July. The districts have been categorised according to the extent/intensity/spread of the raging resurgent coronavirus as high infection and low infection level.
Accordingly, 50% of bank staff MUST attend duty in the bank branches in 11 districts - Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thajavur, Thiruvallur, Nagappattinam, and Mayiladuthurai from today (Monday, 28th June).
In the above districts, the customer transaction will be from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM and the bank functioning will be until 4.00 PM. Administration offices and the other offices will function as usual with 50% staff.”
