CONFIRMED!! IIT JEE Mains to be held from from 20th July to 25th July 2021

To offer flexibility to the students and to improve their scores, from the current academic session, JEE Mains is being conducted 4 times in a year. In February 2021, the first phase was conducted and then in March second phase was conducted.

The news is that the 2 pending IIT JEE Mains (third and fourth phases) would be conducted from 20th July to 25th July and from 27th July to 2nd August 2021 respectively. This was mentioned by Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union education minister on Tuesday. 

He explained that in India the threat of the Coronavirus infection pandemic has been responsible for postponing the reopening of schools, colleges and examinations for various jobs in government etc. The Coronavirus spread has been brought under control now and due to this reason the Central government is getting ready to conduct government exams. He had also mentioned that the announcement regarding the dates of the IIT JEE Mains would be revealed.  

Information is that the registration for the third session (April) exams would start from Tuesday 6th July 2021 till 8th July 2021.From 9th July 2021 till `12th July 2021, the registration for the fourth and final (May) session would commence. On 9th August 2021, the final merit list based on all the four JEE Mains would be announced.

The spike in the Coronavirus infection during the second Coronavirus infection wave has resulted in the postponement of the April and May sessions. It must be taken into account that the JEE Advanced examination that is conducted for the admission of students into the IITs was also postponed. On 3rd of July 2021, this exam was scheduled is well known.

It was brought to light by the NDA that for JEE Mains (April) session totally 6.80 lakhs have applied and for JEE Mains (May) session 6.09 lakhs have applied. It is now expected that soon more students would be applying as the registrations for April session and May session have started. JEE Mains (February) session was held from 23rd to 26th and a total of 661776 candidates have registered for the session is known. It is worthy to note that in the February session as many as 06 students have scored perfect 100 percent. JEE Mains March session was held from 15th to 18th March and totally 619638 candidates have got registered for the session. Point is that in the March session as many as 13 students have scored perfect 100 percent.
