The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that ‘Grievance Registers’ MUST BE KEPT IN all Ration shops!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu explained in this regard that this order is to facilitate the public (ration cardholders) to record their grievances/complaints in all the Fair Price Shops (FPS).
This order to keep the grievance register has been released after the public informed that they faced some hardships in making complaints ONLINE!
MLAs explained some of the public complaints in this regard during the review meeting. Subsequently, the State Government of Tamil Nadu realised the hardships of the public and has now ordered that GRIEVANCE REGISTERS MUST BE KEPT IN ALL RATION SHOPS!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has further explained that though there are certain benefits in the ONLINE recording of complaints, this new Grievance Register System will facilitate the public to record their complaint on the spot and also enable immediate action to be taken on these complaints.
