BOLT-OUT-OF-BLUE SUDDEN ANNOUNCEMENT: Tamil Nadu state government declares holiday today (Saturday, 17th July)!

A fill lockdown imposition is in progress in the State of Tamil Nadu as a preventive measure to check/control the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic. It has prolonged for a considerable period for more than a year! As such, the citizens have faced acute hardship with a majority of them either having lost their job or finding it difficult to attend duty –thus they have lost their lifeline and suffering extensively on the economic front as well!
The government has been extending various measures of relief for the citizens to overcome the above sufferings.
Accordingly, the corona relief of Rs. 4000/- given by the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been split into 2 instalments and paid as Rs. 2000/- per ration cardholder over 2 months!
In this scenario, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that the ration-shop employees who worked on holidays when distributing the corona relief amount should be given compensatory holiday!
Accordingly, today (Saturday, 17th July), 24th July and 14th August have been declared holidays for the ration-shop employees!
NOTE THAT THE RATION SHOPS WILL NOT FUNCTION ON THE ABOVE 3 DATES IN TAMIL NADU!
