Essential groceries such as rice, pulses, sugar, wheat, etc., are being given to citizens, especially belonging to the economically very backward cadres and the family ration cardholders.
As such, a huge number of families depend on the ration shop supplies for grocery items!
In this situation, when the ration cardholders visit the shop for buying groceries, if the shop staff bluff that there is no stock though available, or if they sell at a higher price or if the ration staff behave impolitely and abusive, here is the procedure as to how to register a complaint in this regard:
When either getting cheated at ration shops or any other issues in the ration shop, contact the telephone number 1967. Give your name and the details of the complaint.
Otherwise, you can register your complaint at www.tnpds.gov.in In this complaint, you need to give your name, the contact telephone number, and your e-mail ID.
After this, select the language and then select the ‘Fair Price Shop Personnel’ and then furnish the details of the complaint.
Or else, you can download the cell phone APP TNEPDS and use the App furnishing the details of your ration card number and register the complaint.
For those who cannot do any of the above options, you have to visit the Taluk Office in your locality, meet the Taluk Supply Officer (TSO) and complain. If the complaint given is valid, action will be taken on the concerned ration shop staff within 3 to 5 days! The complaint will be attended to and rectified!
