Monthly allowance of Rs. 1000/- for housewives Tamil Nadu Government explains who is eligible!

During the election campaign for the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly Elections, the political party DMK had promised monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000/- to all housewives.
Later, DMK was voted by the public for a majority and formed the government.
Now, the public is eagerly expecting the announcement for the commencement of the promised monthly Rs. 1000/- assistance for all housewives!
Meanwhile, a lot of issues, doubts, and rumours have cropped up regarding this.
Initially, there was a rumour that this monthly payment will be given to the ration card holders whose head of the family is s female as registered in the card. As such, a large number of women immediately applied to change the head of the family removing their husband’s names and registering their names as the head of the family! As such, lots of applications have been received in the Department of Public Distribution System asking for the names of the head of the family to be changed from the husband to the wife!
In this situation, the Tamil Nadu State Minister for Finance Palanivel Thiagarajan clarified in his budget speech that there is NO NEED to change the family head name for the receipt of the monthly Rs. 1000/- promised for the housewives.
In his budget speech, the Tamil Nadu State Finance Minister had informed:
“The scheme of the monthly Rs. 1000/- payment for the housewives was offered with the consideration of the needy housewives. THERE IS NO NEED TO CHANGE THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY FOR THIS PURPOSE!
The system for this monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000/- for the housewives is being devised and reviewed in full earnest!”
