Sudden Fire accident in a jewellery shops in Parry’s Corner, Chennai Metro City!

During the afternoon today (Monday, 23rd August), there was a fire accident in the multi-storeyed building Fathima Jewellers located in Parry’s Corner, one of the busiest commercial centres in Chennai Metro City.
The fire spread very rapidly to engulf the 2 sections of the multi-storeyed building!
In the first round of information gathered it is believed that the fire accidents was due to leakage of electricity.
As all the employees got out immediately after the accident, loss of lives was totally averted!
However, the vehicles parked under the multi-storeyed building were caught in the fire and were damaged!
The fire spread to some of the shops on the pavement as well!
Most of the jewels stocked in the shop were burnt completely leading to the information that items worth several lakhs of rupees were burnt!
On receiving information about the fire, the fire-fighting team arrived and doused water for several hours to bring the fire under control.
The Police arrived in the area of the fire accident and have registered a case and conducting an enquiry.
