Tamil Nadu State Government extends the deadline for payment of Motor Vehicle Tax until 30th September!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered an extension of the time limit until 30th September to pay the Motor Vehicle Tax.
In the above order, it is mentioned:
“The normal time period given for payment of annual/quarterly Motor Vehicle Tax is 30th April every year. However, due to the prevailing raging coronavirus pandemic, this last date was extended until 30th June.
However, as the lockdown imposition has continued, and the hardships encountered by the citizens in paying the Motor Vehicle Tax within the given time limit, the deadline for payment of the annual/quarterly Motor Vehicle Tax has been extended until; 30th September.”
