Mild earth tremors in Chennai

The people in Chennai felt the mild tremors at 12.35pm today.
It was felt in a few places in Chennai city such as Anna Nagar , Alwarpet , Besant Nagar, Kottivakkam, Kodambakkam, and T Nagar. People reported that it lasted only a few seconds.
Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 reported at 12.35pm in Bay of Bengal at a depth of 10km off Andhra coast.
The U S A Earthquake Monitoring Centre has confirmed that there was an earthquake in the Bay of Bengal at 320 km distance northeast of Chennai Metro City at a depth of 10 km.
