The Coronavirus infection has led to shutting down of offices and due to this the IT employees are working from home only. The second Coronavirus infection has reduced and the threat of a third wave is looming is well known.
The news that has come out now is that the Karnataka government has written a letter to IT companies regarding extending work from home till the month of December 2022.
At present the Coronavirus infection has been brought under control and the number of cases are reducing in Karnataka. Taking this into account, many IT companies have been forcing employees to come to offices for work. In this scenario, the Karnataka government has written a letter to IT companies that the IT employees must be allowed to work from home itself till December 2022.
According to Mr. Ramana Reddy, Additional chief secretary to government, department of Electronics Technology IT, Bio-Technology and Science and Technology, in Krishnarajapuram in Bengaluru for the next one year works regarding construction of metro rail would be going on. He added that this would lead to traffic congestion issues in the locality.
There are many IT companies in this locality and the returning back of IT employees to their offices here could lead to more congestion here. Therefore, the IT employees must be allowed to work from home itself till December 2022. This has been mentioned in the letter written to IT companies.
Mr. Ramana Reddy concluded that many IT companies have sent their reply letter mentioning their approval regarding allowing the IIT employees to work from home.
