The excitement and happiness are back in the schools now!!
The schools reopened for the classes 9 to 12 on 1st September after being closed down to control the spread of Coronavirus infection. The students are happy now to be in the schools. Truth is that many students returned back to their school lives after being forced to stay in their homes for several months. The students wore face masks and maintained social distancing inside the classrooms.
It was sensational to note that more than 90percent attendance was reported on the first day in the Ashok Nagar based Government Girls HSS. The headmistress of this school R.C. Saraswathi pointed out that all SOPs have been followed for the sake of safety of the students. She added that all the teachers were vaccinated. Just 20 students were allowed inside the classrooms at a given point of time. It must be taken into note that the school management has ensured that all the school teaching staff and vice-chancellors have got atleast one Covid vaccine shot.
For the students to get vaccinated, immunisation drives would be available at the colleges itself. It was later pointed out by Mr. P.K. Illamaran, president of TN Teachers Association that counselling was provided to the students to overcome the fear of Coronavirus pandemic.
Parents could send their kids to the schools without any fear and this was according to Mr, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, school education minister. As per Mr. Ponmudi, minister for higher education students who do not want to attend physical classes could attend online classes.
