NO vaccine wastage - In Chennai, GCC to begin 24#7 COVID vaccination for the residents

The imminent threat of Coronavirus infection third wave has been creating huge fears in the public. In Chennai, the GCC has been taking steps to manage this upcoming third wave.

In certain urban community health centres or UCHC, vaccination for Covid-19 infection is done from 8:30 in the morning till 4pm in the evening only. Beginning from Saturday, these urban community health centres would be vaccinating the public full 24hours or 24#7.

On Saturday, the municipal administration minister Mr, K.N. Nehru would be busy launching this drive at Adyar UCHC in the presence of Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Chennai corporation commissioner.

At 15 locations in Chennai, the 24 hour camps would be present for the sake of the public. It is revealed that these 15 centres have got facilities to administer vaccines around the clock and the GCC officers have made arrangements to avoid wastage of vaccines. On 1st of September, Chennai Corporation launched 200 vaccination camps for the residents. This was brought out by the release from GCC. Registrations for vaccination can be done at gccvaccine.in

Recently, GCC grabbed many eyeballs when it took the vaccination for Covid-19 infection to the homes or doorsteps of senior citizens above the age of 80 in Chennai.
