GSAT 14 is set to get launched by 6th August

The ISRO’s (Indian Space Research Organization) has scheduled the launch of communications satellite GSAT 14 to be on 6th of August. This will make use of the geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle – GSLV D5 (MK III). This satellite has got 6 extended C band and 6 Ku band transponders and it will be a replacement for EDUSAT satellite.

When enquired about the overall mass of the satellite, it was told to be around 1,980 kg of life mass. The space agency also added that the satellite will make use of indigenous cryogenic engine for its effective functioning.
