Drinking water supply to be stopped tomorrow (7th October) in 5 locations in Chennai Metro City!

A notification has been released that drinking water supply will be stopped temporarily from tomorrow (Thursday, 7th October) at 8.00 PM to the next day (Friday, 8th October) 8.00 AM in 5 locations in Chennai Metro City – Vepery, Periamet, Park Town, Chinthadripettai, and Egmore.
During this shutdown period, the task of laying the rainwater drains system on the E V R Periyar Highway near the Office of the Chennai Metro City Police Commissioner across the road before the ensuing monsoon seasonal rain period.
This activity will be carried out from 8.00 PM (Thursday, 7th October) until 8.00 AM on Friday, 8th October.
As such, it is notified that the drinking water supply will be stopped temporarily at the above-mentioned 5 locations in Chennai Metro City.
It is further instructed to the public to be prepared and make arrangements for getting and storing enough drinking water during this period.
