It has been raining profusely all over the State of Kerala over the last few days!

Due to this, the devotees have not been allowed to enter the temple of Sabarimalai Temple of Lord Sri Ayyappa Swamy!

After the heavy rains, and the possibility of the grave risk of landslides, Pattinamthitta District Collector Divya has requested the public NOT TO VISIT THE SABARIMALA TEMPLE!

In this regard, the collector shared further:

“Due to the incessant rains gripping the State of Kerala, 85 camps have been set up and 2800 persons have been accommodated in these camps.

As it has been raining quite intensely in the forest areas, there are strong prospects for landslides to occur! The river Pamba is also in spate with floods flowing touching the banks!

As such, the public is banned from vesting the temple.

This order has been initiated after detailed review and discussions with the State Chief Minister and the Senior Officials

Though the temple corridors are open, to prevent any untoward accidents due to the heavy rains, devotees are not allowed to visit the temple!”
