TNPSC GROUP-IV WRITTEN TEST: DETAILS OF POSTS AND ELIGIBILITIES!

The timetable for the written examinations to be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) for the various vacant posts in different departments of the Tamil Nadu State Government was released last week.
In this scenario, TNPSC has further informed that more than 10000 vacant posts are to be filled up for recruitment based on the performance in the above-written tests.
Information is gathered that the details regarding Group-IV examinations will be announced next March.
Presently, there are 5344 vacant posts in Group-IV. As such, it is expected that a larger number of written tests will be conducted for this group!
Posts:
- Junior Assistant
- Typist
- Shorthand stenographer
- Village Administration Officer
- Tax Collector
- Land Surveyor
- Draughtsman
Academic Qualifications:
For the posts of typists, the candidates must have passed the 10th Standard with a pass in the Government Technology Typing Test.
For the posts of Shorthand Stenographer, candidates MUST have passed 10th Standard and a pass in the Government Technology typing and shorthand tests.
Age Limit:
As regards the post of Village Administrative Officer, the age limit for the candidates from the general or common cadre is 21-30. For the other cadre, age limit concession is available up to 40 years.
For the other posts including Junior Assistant, the candidates from the common or general cadre MUST be in the age group 18-30 and for the other cadre, age concession is given up to 35 years.
