Banks will not function tomorrow (16th) and the day after (17th) December!

Information is gathered that the petition for amendment of the Legal Act 2021 for converting the Public Sector Banks to the Private Sector is likely to be tabled in the parliament shortly.
Protesting against this, the Bank Employees’ Union Federation has decided to observe a strike of work for 2 days tomorrow (Thursday, 16th December) and the day after (Friday, 17th December).
It is further informed by the Bank Employees’ Unions Federation that there are other protest forms to be observed!
As such, the Federation of the Bank Employees’ Union has appealed to the central government to withdraw the proposal to convert the Public Sector Banks to Private Sector.
In recent times, the central government has been indulging in converting some of the public sector organisations under its jurisdiction to the private sector!
In further regard to this, there has been a strong protest against the proposed privatisation of 2 Public Sector Banks!
