The Omicron variant of Coronavirus is on the rise in Tamil Nadu now!!
In this scenario, it is mentioned that oral orders would be issued to the authorities to intensify the control in Chennai, Madurai and Tiruvannamalai etc. The number of Omicron cases has increased to 34 now with a person coming from Nigeria having Omicron.
According to the health minister Mr, M. Subramanian it was clear that 33 persons were confirmed to be infected by the Omicron variant and research activities have been going on now regarding whether 24 persons have this latest infection or not. He threw light on how out of a total of 34 Omicron cases 33 were from foreign countries and one case was from Kerala. As many as 114 persons have been confirmed to be affected by Coronavirus infection and 57 of those had symptoms and their samples were sent for analysis. Information is that till now 24 persons from Chennai have been infected with Omicron variant, 4 from Madurai, 2 in Thiruvannamalai and 1 person in Salem.
Point is that restrictions have been imposed on those who come to Tamil Nadu from other states through the airport. It is now brought to light that soon night curfew would be imposed in Chennai and in Madurai, Salem and Thiruvannamalai etc
